My teenaged children were watching the rented dvd. I figured that anything they were interested in, I wouldn't be interested in (very presumptuous of me, don't you think?). I walked through the room on my way to the basement during the scene where Amber and Brett are talking in the HS cafeteria. When they said the line together about "hunting season", I stopped and said "That's pretty funny!" After they were finished with the disc, I watched it from the beginning and loved it so much, I owned a copy by the end of the week. It's easily in my Top 10 all-time.

I happened to catch it as I was clicking through the TV channels. I think it was the scene where Gladys is standing in the parking lot, relating her past pageant themes. First of all, I recognized Kirstie Alley and was curious to see what she was talking about, and then her hilarious pro-American themes just got me hooked. Great movie - I went out and bought the videotape as soon as I could!
Flat, drab passion meanders across the screen! -

A friend of a friend was crazy about the movie when it first came out on video and I just ignored it as some crappy teen comedy. But she made me and my friend sit down and watch it and it was actually pretty enjoyable. I bought the video first chance I got and sent off for the DVD about a year ago later. The movie still holds up.
If you pirate media, you don't get to have an opinion on it. -

Scenes of it were filmed here in my town (Hopkins MN) back when the working title was "dairy queens". I remember parts of Main St being closed for a day or two while filming was taking place
I used to care, but I take a pill for that now. -

I remember seeing the trailer in the theatre when we went to see Cruel Intentions and thinking it looked awesome. I don't think I went to see it in theatre after that though - I think I caught it on HBO and recorded it on vhs and watched it over and over again. Snagged the dvd when it was on Amazon for 5 or 10 bucks. One of my most quoted movies ever.

It was about 12 or so years ago when I was 12 or 13 and I saw it on the TV guide and thought it sounded interesting so I asked my mother to tape it off tv for me that night as I would be over a friends. The following evening I watched it in my room and loved it!

I'd heard of it many times before but I decided to watch it today when I randomly stumbled across it on YouTube (I had watched Heathers beforehand). It was quite silly but it was still watchable.
I'm hoping to find a trendy yet thought-provoking quote. Until then, this will be my signature. -

I rented it soon after it came out and thought it was hysterical. For a period of time it was on extended basic cable a lot and I rewatched it many times. I still think it's hilarious. I made my husband watch it a few years back and he liked it too.

I had just sat through this horrible film called "Her" and I was looking at its Wikipedia page to try to understand why it had gotten good reviews. Apparently the films share an actress. It was described as having developed a cult following so I decided to give it a shot.
