How come you get things wrong all the time? Drag queens do entertain at old folks' homes. For example, in June 2024 for instance, a care home in Canada hosted a successful vintage drag show fundraiser for LGBTQIA+ seniors. The Oregon-based Rose Villa retirement community as another example, has featured multiple drag queen shows that have become a hit with residents. In addition to these specifically LGBTQIA+-focused events, drag performers have also entertained more general audiences in nursing and retirement homes in the US and UK. The attention on "Drag Queen Story Hour" events for children etc overshadows the numerous, less publicized instances of drag queens performing for other groups, such as seniors, hospital patients, and homeless people. Some conservative and religious groups oppose drag performances in public spaces, and this has fuelled misinformation and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric. Glad to help.
