He could've taken the eyeballs out of one of the paramedics he killed at the beginning, since we never see their bodies, we just hear that they've been chewed up, so a possible theory could be that after killing the four paramedics, he takes the eyeballs out of one of them and put them in his own eye sockets

Obviously a goof from Halloween 2, but you can see the blood pouring out of the mask above the eyes. So maybe he got blasted in the forehead and the blood got into his eyes causing him temporary vision loss. Then again, if he survived the explosion, regenerating eyes shouldn't be a problem for Myers.

He doesn't need eyes, clearly.
But he does appear to momentarily need eyeholes in his bandages when he was killing the mechanic.
They weren't so necessary when he was driving away in the truck a few moments later though.

He was shot many times in one night before being blown up and set on fire, and he survived it all. I think that indicates there's something supernatural about Michael and can maybe even regenerate lost limbs and organs.

IT would have helped if the film-makers could have maintained a consistent grip on that concept. But they seem to never have made their minds up. Or didn't care.
