At first, yeah. Then they changed their story after lying repeatedly which doesn't help today.

Their father, Joe Jackson, was very abusive and beat his sons. Michael would usually avoid the beatings because he would run and hide

I don't think he wanted sex from children.
I think he just used poor judgement in how he chose to interact with children
Macaulay Culkin spent time with Jackson when he was a child, and he says that Michael didn't molest him, and he never saw him molest others

i mean yeah it's one thing to discipline your children but i heard joe used to physically beat his sons.
there has to be a reason why only he was said to have beat his sons and not other good parents you know? i also heard that he was too hard on them abusive to them in their careers with the jackson 5. which makes sense if he beat them when they were at home and just growing up.
janet stuck up for him in her new a and e biography but maybe she was just being nice.

I saw some of Janet's story on A&E
I doubt if they were even allowed to touch on the abuse of her brothers, since Janet is their youngest sibling and might have not witnessed the abuse herself
But yes, Joe was cruel to his sons

watching that biography last night made me want to talk about janet on here. i just see it as cowardly and wrong for her to not say anything bad about her dad who by the way is dead now so it's not like she would have been in big trouble saying this.
i mean if you can't say anything bad about someone when they are dead then you can never say anything bad about them. it's time they finally come clean about the abuse he put them all through.
and yes maybe by the time she was around she didn't see the abuse and wasn't abused herself but i'm sure one of her brothers told her that they were abused by joe so tell people what happened. it's only fair and get it off your chest.
especially now that even her mom is dead she should come clean about her dad. i mean what does she have to lose now that they are both dead?
she seems very sweet and innocent and pure of heart, and like a really good christian that's what i got from this biography but also she seems naive and unaware of things in her life. she doesn't have awareness of her dad for one and the jerk he was to all her brothers. it's like she is still living in this fantasy of a perfect upbringing from her parents.

to me it's a sign of the dominating, controlling, over protective, religious fanaticism and overly religious control they had over their children.
i mean it's one thing to teach your children values and keep them safe from harm but the way janet was talking about this is beyond a normal protecting their kids from harm and actually damaging them by controlling them way too much.
i mean she was covered and still felt afraid to show her covered tits and also she was 27 at the time.
