Just look at the list above of the films that Mr Armstrong has been involved in.
We're not talking about cheap straight to video films; these are movies that my kids, your kids and their kids will be talking about in decades to come.
I could go on forever about how I sat in awe as a child watching Indiana Jones go under a truck and then be pulled along by it right upto nowadays when as a cinema obsessed 3 year old I see the stunts organised for the last Bond film, Die Another Day (the Iceland car chase is - dare I say it - is the greatest car chase of the last 20 years and by far the best in the whole Bond series).
And yes, someone please let him direct a Bond film.
He's only been a hair width away from doing so in the past with all his second unit work.

Vic is one of the greatest. Its a pity the Academy won't honor stunt work. To answer your question, I would say Vic is No 1 when it comes to technical stuntwork. Jackie Chan and his team are the best at people stunts and Rmy Julienne and his Family seem to be the best driving stunt team working today. Thats my opinion. I've probably overlooked many greats.

Yes. That is my answer. And it is not because he hired me to work on "I am Legend". Vic certainly has an amazing record of action films under his belt. I have gotten to speak with him a few times and I must say that he is a genuine human being. I was most humbled to be working on his team here in NYC. Mr Armstrong, if you read this, I want to say thankyou for the oppurtunity you have given me. Now, on to that next Bond Film we were talking about. All the best my friend! Rayabbs

I'm no expert, but his cv is amazing, I doubt there are many people who have worked on that many big films in their lifetime. He must have a few stories to tell - I'd rather people like him got interviewed on tv shows than some boring current actor who is just there to plug their new film.

Worked with him on a movie for one day. He's a legend, no doubt about it.

Definitely one of the all-time great stuntmen period.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
