NOSFERATU 1979 has the same mistakes the original version had, and it doesnt have any improvements. Its more stylish, but that doesnt make it scary. Klaus Kinski's performance is far from bad, but hes no Max Shreck.

Don't I have a right to express my opinion? True, I didn't have that much to say, which is why I wrote a comment on the movie instead of a review. Also, I think I said enough about the original version.

The English language version is kind of stilted, but the acting comes off a lot better when seen in subtitled German. My main problem is with Jonathon becoming a vampire himself at film's end, which makes Lucy's sacrifice pointless and turns the film into a high end Count Yorga imitation. If you're going to have your heroine feed herself to a vampire so that the sun could finish him off, for Heaven's sake let it mean spomething.
