          When she was young yes. For example in "
          Waterloo Station
          ". Really the Cat's Meow.
          But she didn't quite age as well as she might have.
          Comports herself adequately in
          "
          Ship of Fools
          "
          but it is a melancholy sight to observe her in "
          The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone
          ".
          Warren Beatty's character makes fun of her in one scene and it rather stings. His jeer rings true. She was looking poorly.
          There's no accounting for it I suppose. Must depend on bodily chemistry somehow.
          But Claudette Colbert for instance–at age 40 –was still being invited to perform as 18 or 19 yr old characters.
