It's quite possible that they filmed in two different locations and had it edited together with the live show for broadcast with phone ins
I'm not saying how it all worked, just that lots of it was in Glasgow and I know that for a fact because I used to partake in a bevvy alongside those who worked on the show

Oh I’m not bothered about Graham Norton or any modern TV. So anyway I decided to see if artificial intelligence could help me out and it came up with this…

There may be some confusion with other shows or events filmed in Glasgow that share a similar title or theme. For example, Simple Minds filmed a live version of "Alive and Kicking" in Glasgow in 2014, and the BBC's "River City" is filmed in Dumbarton, near Glasgow. However, "Live & Kicking" itself was always a London-based production.

So there we have it. You obviously watched Simple Minds perform Alive and Kicking and got it muddled up with this.

Well further research tells me that filming moved to BBC Scotland in 2001 for its last season which is after Barrowman and T&S had left, so maybe they were filming some parts of it there much earlier as you say.
I bet it was some thrill! Did you chat to them much?

I didn't watch kids TV then Bobby and so only knew of them from others telling me that they were on TV.
There was a decent bunch of people from the telly around the pubs at the time though
I quite fancied Miss Hoolie but she was taken already

Well I’ve heard that London was really really expensive back then (and not just these days), so maybe they went to Glasgow to get a cheaper pint.
