I disagree. I thought this film was a good deal of naughty fun.

Since posting my original comment, I have viewed VIRGIN WITCH again.
My thoughts and feelings about it have changed a little.
On reflection, some of the sleazy elements of this movie helped to spice it up.
And Neil Hallett clearly has a better time here than he did in his brief appearance in a hopelessly dull movie called GROUPIE GIRL.
And of course I still regard the late great Patricia Haines to be the greatest asset here.
But I stand by the comments made surrounding the horror aspects - there are none - even in the sense of gothic horror found in the heyday of British cinema.
I much prefer SATAN'S SLAVE over VIRGIN WITCH any time. Whilst that movie also contains sleaze and relies heavily upon the performance of one actor, its sleazy elements are more interesting to watch and there is actually some gothic horror leading to a superb twist at the end.
Let's remember here that VIRGIN WITCH and SATAN'S SLAVE are horror movies. For naughty fun, I'd probably watch sex comedies like ZETA ONE, COME PLAY WITH ME or INTIMATE GAMES. They'd fit the bill much better!

Having watched Virgin Witch, Nothing But the Night, and Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires all within the last month, I must respectfully disagree with both of your posts. Not only would I not put any of them on any list of worst movies, British or otherwise, I found all three to be quite entertaining. Not necessarily great movies, but all having far more to recommend them than many, many hundreds of movies I have seen over the years.
Nothing But the Night gets dumped on for not being horrific enough, but if viewed as a mystery rather than out-and-out horror, I think it holds up quite well. I found the plot intriguing, it's well paced, never boring, and the acting, direction, and screenplay are all very good. Just because Cushing and Lee are in it, everybody seems to expect a blatant horror story and are disappointed that it's not (at least not up until the climax). But that's the viewers' problem, not the movie's.
And Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires was even more fun on second viewing than the first time I saw it years back. Although John Forbes-Robertson is a pretty poor Dracula, everything else is just fine in my book. The mixing of vampires and martial arts is quite original for its time, the fight scenes are as good as other "kung fu" flicks of the '70s, and the hordes of skeletal vampire/zombies are creepy as hell. What's not to like (besides JF-R)?
I think Virgin Witch also gets slammed more for not living up to people's preconceptions than for any lack of quality in the film itself. While I was never actually "scared" watching it, it's a very competently produced picture, easily as good or better than some of Hammer's lesser efforts from the same era, and (spoiler) I found the idea of the supposed innocent being sucked into the witch cult turning out to be the real force for evil and turning the tables on her captors unique and refreshing.
But all that aside, your mention of Zeta One really ripped it for me. That's got to be one of the worst, most painfully boring movies I've ever sat through, British or otherwise. Even the fairly frequent nudity couldn't make up for the rest of it. Even a rancid schlocker like Terror at Orgy Castle, for example, (which I also watched just recently) offers more entertainment value than Zeta One. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but if you want to maintain your credibility as a movie critic, please don't ever mention preferring Zeta One over just about anything, except maybe War of the Robots, Blood Orgy of the She Devils, The Fat Spy, or Vampire Happening, all of which are about as exciting as watching your lawn grow (and Vampire Happening even has a fair amount of nudity and still manages to be dull as dishwater).

I agree with your comments about this film. I was unfamiliar with the plot before watching it and for the first half I was convinced this was a standard film about virgins being offered for sacrifice by an evil cult.
          SPOILERS
I loved that it turned out that the cult wasn't even evil but the "sacrifice" was!

I liked this movie to be honest.
The "twist" in the ending was nice. I had my suspicions midway through and was happy to see I was right.
I had this on good old videotape way back when and am kicking myself for getting rid of my entire collection. The DVD that's out now is in widescreen format and the scene where she is getting photographed while standing against the tree is cropped and you can't see her lower half. Same thing with another older movie Xtro with Maryam D'abo.

The concepts of lesbian sex, gratuitous nudity and horror simply don't work together.
Rrrright. Other concepts that famously don't mix well are bread and butter, soap and water, Rodgers & Hammerstein, eggs and bacon, etc.
It's certainly not a good movie in general, no argument there but you're kind of saying the crash happened because of those rails someone had recklessly laid in front of the train.
IMDb-boards would be less confusing if people would mark their signatures clearly.

I agree that's it's not scary. But I found it to be quite entertaining.

I came to see an admirable abundance of hot British babes naked and that's exactly what I got in this film, so **** yeah I enjoyed the sexy **** out of this one!
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
