When I came to look this up it has a TV designation next to it. However there is a fair amount of nudity with the female model. The TV channels that censor would
never
pass this with that content. Anyone know where this originated?

Some tv movies have nudity that was just kept out of the tv version of the film

It was part of Creature Features. A series of 50s horror remakes made for Cinemax.
