It's the old generational switcheroo
20 years ago the young lady would have wanted to be away for a little ruff and ready (Most likely) and you would have been presumed racist for thinking otherwise.
So a hands-off approach is now the rule of thumb. While this 15 year old girl isn't the same generation and is more akin to being neurodivergent in their rebellious behaviours, rather than trying to provoke their parents by heading out with a Montague, the way to deal with it effectively died with the Lombard Direct adverts and "Where there's blame, there's a claim"
Had that member of the public called the police she'd be in jail for a hate related crime, and you and I also for discussing it.
