anxiety-inducing
yeah pretty much. see, that is probably the reason why i couldnt get into this one (or any other show or movie that's set primarily in a restaurant kitchen) lol i watched the first episode of this show and despite knowing it's lauded and critically acclaimed and all that, i actually could not make myself continuing with it after that bc, yeah, the setting made me uncomfortable as **** (and not in a good way like horror movies do lmao)
i did not like Boiling Point and The Menu etc bc of the same reasons.
suck it. -

You're probably not missing much lol If you didn't see it as a kid, there's not much appeal. Now, some of Nick's shows like
Doug
and
Hey Arnold
have held up quite well (possibly
Rugrats
too, but I haven't rewatched it in years). And Spongebob and
Avatar: The Last Airbender
are still quite popular.

For sure. And the first season where it's really just a neighborhood Italian beef joint is pretty relatable to some of my old gigs. Once they moved into serving more high-end fare, much less so.
