The woman in the wheel chair going round and round, dead, with the fire. Those creepy twins. The last scenes in the tower with Frank Langella, Depo, and then the girl at the end. Goosebumps.

Baroness Kessler was creepy even before the fire scene. Her aura reminded me of someone straight out of Rosemary's Baby. Something always felt off. To your credit, Frank Langella can be creepy in just about anything!

I rewatched it last night and picked up things I didn't really pay attention to the first time around. I mean, I think I've watched it twice before, but it's been a while. For me, this time, it was like watching it for the first time.

I don't think I've ever seen a movie with Johnny Depp (

) in it that I didn't enjoy, simply by his presence. Oh, except that Tonto one. And I never watched Rum Diaries. He would have made an interesting Jonathan Harker in Dracula.

I haven't read the book so I'm not sure if that clears it up, but I get mixed feelings about her.
On one hand, I think she's a guardian angel, but she has "fallen". When she drives off on her motorcycle, she leaves a white feather. But the way her eyes glow and her face changes, it makes me wonder if she's a demon. The sex scene at the end always sat with me like she was representative of the whore of Babylon. That was my first impression.
Satan is just the embodiment of evil, but Lucifer is the agent, and I don't think she was him either. Her character arc is a bit confusing because while she protects him, she's also technically guiding him through the 8 gates he needs to pass in order to get to the 9th gate, and it's only through his connection with her that he gets through the 9th gate.

I always thought she kinda looked like Radha Mitchell.
You know, the actress who played Colin Farrell's wife in Phone Booth? She was also in Silent Hill, Man on Fire and even Pitch Black.

I love Keanu Reeves but since Keanu was so miscast in Bram Stoker's Dracula, I definitely would've seen Johnny as Jonathan Harker! I mean he was still with Winona at the time and it would've been their second film together.
And yes, I love Johnny in From Hell, but the female lead is like my weakest link of the movie.
