It's a shame she died before being rediscovered by a new generation of fans. Such a hottie. Why the heck wasn't her untimely death reported earlier?

Terrible news, doubly sad given that she seems to have passed away just as people were on the verge of finally tracking her down for interviews/DVD extras. At least the upcoming DVD of Pets will be a fitting tribute, its one of her best films.

The very first film I saw as a teenager at the local "roofless" theatre, in July of '75 was "Candy Stripe Nurses" followed by, I think, "Sweet Sugar". Never gave much thought as to who Candice was or what happened to her, until seeing notice of her passing. Life is too short, and time just keeps ticking away.

Rest in peace, Candice Rialb68son. I absolutely adored your bubbly and engaging performances in the classic 70's drive-in exploitation features "Pets," "Mama's Dirty Girls," "Candy Stripe Nurses," and "Summer School Teachers." Moreover, you were simply terrific as Candy Hope in "Hollywood Boulevard." You are much loved and will be greatly missed by your many fans.

Watching Pets right now. Thought I would see what Candice is up to now didn't realize she died.
It's a shame. I hope she knew about her fans and her influences in film.

I am glad she died in 2006 and I am glad she died of liver disease. The fact this animal wore sneakers in her films (at least in Pets) and especially 'modern day' sneakers (i.e Adidas), makes her dying at 54 and of liver disease so lethargic and based
This glorified valley girl consumerist c**t was evil, immoral ,trashy, man like and senseless to wear sneakers (let alone modern day sneakers) and especially wear that garbage on her feet in her films/tv (as in Pets). She never should have worn any types of sneakers ever except for at worst keds, laceless vans, and shredded low top converse (like the type Destiny Hope KKKyrus (I mean Cyrus) wore in 2011? on stage
She was never sexy in any scene she did where she had sneakers on. In fact when she wore sneakers like on screen, she looked uglier and more disgusting looking than a nude Larry Hankin would look if they showed larry naked on Friends in the 1990s.
