Thanks for that, friend. Ain't enough cold-hearted films out there and I now want to see this more than ever.
Me too. Lol. You sold me on watching this one OP. The world is cold, if you can't handle that being conveyed through film, don't watch.. simple.
If fictional films make you so "disgusted" I'd love to see your reaction if you watched videos on a real life gore site. Again, lol. -

It sounded to me as though the op was speaking more on a personal level. I guess they're actually acquainted with the family of the real victim? Having said that, I have to agree with the OP only in that This actually was based on a true story and almost glorifies the murdering teen without paying any homage or respect whatsoever to the little girl, Elizabeth Olten, who actually was murdered. The teen killer's name, "Alyssa" is even the same as the actual real life accused, Alyssa Bustamante. If you Google Bustamante, you'll find a fairly recent mugshot of her smiling/smirking.This after about 3 years in jail already and she's,I think 18 in the mugshot. I don't think the OP'S rant was simply bashing a "bad movie". I think it's more personal, and I agree with them. Just sayin. I'm a mom and if it was my little girl who was brutally murdered, I would absolutely find a way to fv<king kill the bitch. -

You are all "Sold" now that the "OP" said what she said? What are you a bunch of sociopaths? The OP had a great point, and this movie was complete garbage. This is coming from someone who tries to write and direct the most beep up films ever, and is a huge fan of very disturbing films. This was trash The subject was trash It was a disgrace to the young girl that got murdered. I don't even know how a film like this gets on amazon prime, or anything for that matter. This actually has reviews?
By the way my favorite film is Gummo. -

That's nice. Maybe someday you'll even learn how to direct your replies to the right person…
There are 8.2 billion people in the world. 8.19 billion of them have never heard of and don't give a fuck about Charlie Kirk. Get over it. -

How dare you!
Speaking of Nolan, listen to this 65Daysofstatic song from 3 mins onwards. I know you're not fussed about Nolan, but you do like you're post-rock. I cannot stop listening to this song at the gym

Clearly something must have happened to the original execution of this movie. It was quietly delayed for years and was released on streaming just as quietly.
It's certainly no "Raid", it's more like a tired Jason Statham type movie. Some of the things in it are plain bizzare, such as the setting. This feels like Gotham or some alternative version of RoboCop's Detroit. The CGI is awful, it's so weird it us even present here in such copious amounts considering what the director is known for. The story is simple, yet indescribably odd. The lighting is also a weak point of this movie.
The casting is superb and some of the fights are fine, but again, coming from Gareth Evans it's a bare minimum of what you'd expect. This isn't a terrible movie by any stretch and you can enjoy it for what it turned out to be, but you have to keep your expectations surprisingly low.

Nolan is automatically declared great no matter what he does and everything else usually given 5 minutes then declared unwatchable.
