i would prefer a full on mirrored ripoff of ghostbusters but you got to give asylum props for going in other directions. this doesn't look bad. their hobbit film was very creative and instead of avatar they just made john carter.

I would have loved to see them make Spooksmashers with the cast of Sharknado, but do like the look of the angle they took with this one.

Everyone complains about their flicks, but when you know you're sitting down to a film ala The Asylum wtf do you expect? I go in with zero expectations and little faith that I'll even finish the film and I'm never disappointed!

Good thing about The Asylum is knowing generally what you're going to get from their movies. Those guys & CineTel, Full Moon, Troma, etc pretty much keep their stuff at same "standard" - if it can be called that =))

They've covered all bases with this one; ghosts, horror, torture porn, mystery; even as it turns out, family drama.

When I watch an Asylum movie, I expect utter crap. I'm seldom disappointed. 😁
