i thought this was a serious topic. it's not. i'll resurrect it anyway (6 years? wow.)
what happened to reinhold after nightcourt? it's like he disappeared off the face of the earth, according to imdb, after the 80s. 😞 very sad. i loved night court.

I was thinking about Night Court and Barney Miller. Were they just shows of their time? I don't think so: the actors, characters, and writing for both shows were all exceptional. I still enjoy watching recordings of both shows very much.
Would a contemporary audience like something like this? Yes, probably, even if we kept the shows at the level of innocence they were. I would love to see both shows resurrected, or possibly anything else, as long as Reinhold Weege was involved.
BTW, I see that there's no listing of Reinhold as an actor, but there was an early episode of Night Court where he had a cameo in an elevator at the end of the episode. I'll have to find that some time and send a correction in.
Reinhold, you're wonderful. Please do more shows!
        Yours truly,

He appeared on the Night Court commentary made in 2005, but beyond that, I have no idea what happened to him, or why he didn't even stay with Night Court until the end.

Reinhold died of natural causes on December 1, 2012. RIP. He created and wrote for some great shows. Night Court was unique and I still miss watching it on TV.
