Appalachia specifically, but no I don't think anyone does today. Historically, it seems to have been a thing. As mentioned in the video, it's a result of Britain's late adoption of the Gregorian calendar and the very isolated nature of the region. The settlers to Appalachia were largely from the British Isles, they arrived relatively early and improvements in transportation and communications arrived to the region very late. That's why, for example, into the 20th century researchers in the region found 16th century British folk songs preserved pretty much intact.
