What if Denzel Washington played Blade?

He was in mind for the role. How do you think it would have turned out if he took the role?
Also, his character in Book of Eli is very similar to Blade.

I don't think there would have been three of them. Denzel tends to pick more serious roles. I don't think he'd want to stick around for two more. And Wesley Snipes knows karate so he had an edge over Denzel there. The fight scenes would have lost something with Denzel.

I think it would have been a good movie, but not the tour de force that it is. Wesley is perfect in the part. His permanently unhinged look can't be beat.

Can't imagine anyone else in that role.
Snipes looks too bad ass for it while Denzil does not.

I don't think Denzel would have worked as Blade. He doesn't have that hard rough edge that Snipes has.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
