haha all this is funny because the actress that plays her isn't black, and the coin and bust of cleopatra's face are obviously of a white woman.you don't even have to really know anything about her greek family or that egypt is in africa, but ancient egypt was around for a long time, it's beginnings are full of riddles and it was conquered and ruled by many different skinned people throughout it's existence so there is a reason for dark skinned busts and wall paintings, if you black folks want something to brag about you can claim the sphinx, some experts say it's of a black african

I'm a black woman and I believe Cleopatra was Greek not black/African. I do think Nefertiti was black but not Cleopatra or any of the Ptolmey's. This idea hat she must have been black because she ruled a nation in Africa is juvenile and not entirely logically. It's like saying in a 1000yrs when people talk about Charlize Theron or Princess Charlene of Monaco they will say they were black because they are African. Being born there doesn't mean you have blood ties to the historic people there.
What does being Greek during the time of Cleopatra mean? What did you look like? I admit I have not seen many Greeks over the years but I believe they are darker skinned and generally have dark hair but are still what you would consider white. She would look more like Leonor than Elizabeth Taylor or Vivien Leigh.
