I guess the good guys being the Taliban beat the Soviets with Rambos help, now the jobs done. The taliban are now slowly but surely retaking control of their country, will Uncle Joe Biden officially attend the victory parade to congratulate new Afgan President Hibatullah Akhundzada on a job welldone?

The Taliban were the "good guys" back then. They aren't anymore. Not real complicated. I always laugh when people say we used to be allies with them. Well yeah, they were just defending themselves back then.

As they're doing now and in 2001. Their only "crime" was allowing Al Qaeda to operate in their country during 9/11. Of course, Pakistan also allowed Al Qaeda to operate in their country and most of bin Laden's funding came from Saudi royalty, but we did nothing to Pakistan or Saudi Arabia.

Aren't the Taliban back to being our allies now?
