I thought it was an interesting choice, too, given how rare it was then. They didn't make it a plot point at all so maybe they just liked this actress the most when she auditioned. I must say, she played a naggy shrew VERY effectively here. Beautiful woman, but man did I want to see someone sew her mouth shut!!

Thank you for that thinly veiled racism failure873. Barack Obama is biracial and he was born in 1961. Halle Berry was born in 1966 and she's biracial. If you come to Louisiana you'll meet black people with green eyes and dirty blond hair. The point is there were interracial couples back then even though it was not common. It's not common to have a town full of corn god worshiping human sacrificing children.

L She more than likely got the job because of her former gig on the channel in Battelstar Galactica. -

This is how it works. Apparently they liked her performance and this is how most people get picked for parts in movies, sitcoms and the like. I loved her on Battlestar Galactica; unfortunately I missed seeing her in the remake of COTC.
I'm trying to find it on line to watch it. So far nothing.

I will say at one time (don't know about now) where SyFy would often get actors for their movies from their TV shows. Hell, I recall, back when "Stargate SG-1" was on that the guy who played the General in that show was in one of their movies as you guessed it a General. Don't think he even changed his costume. Looked like he just came over from the "Stargate SG-1" set to film his part and left.

I'm not sure who you are replying too. If I said I read the book I meant I had read the short story. I'm surprised my old topic is still up with so many replies .
I've since read up on the case about the interracial couple who fought to be able to get married back in the day 1967. Reminds me of the couple on "Aquarius" and some of the issues they are going through. -

My mom is Black and my dad White. I was born in '62 and they were married. There were a few southern states where it was illegalwe tried not to go to themand people gave us our family a hard time but it happened.

to the OP it was 1975, but yes it was legal and a few (not many, actually barely anyone) had inter racial marriages, though as you can imagine 12 years after the civil rights movement got HUGE racial tensions were fierce.
infact today (i live in a rural part of texas) in many non urban or suburban towns inter racial marraige is still a frowned apon thing, as my grandma would put it "i dont want you dating those colored girls im not racist but eagles dont fly with crows and pigeons" which comparing whites to eagles and colored people to crows and pigeons is pretty racist she lied -
