Even though I really like Elvis, my favorite music is more so Iron Maiden, Metallica, Ozzy, Dio, Black Sabbath, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller, Alice Cooper, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, and KISS.

Elvis
Elvis was before my time. Michael was technically my time. But I wanted to be the handsome, dangerous deep voice guy that men wanted to be and girls wanted to be with.
I did not want to be a girly, skinny, gay-ish guy with a high voice.
To me there was nothing cool about MJ. Performers like MJ, Bowie, etc, although hugely talented, started the whole androgynous rock star persona. That was a big turn off to me. -

I personally think that even if Michael Jackson wasn't a pedophile, there is still no denying that he was a legit transgender freak and given how much of a freak he was, he could very well have in fact been a pedophile.

Elvis without question.
I like Michael Jackson, but there was quite a few of his songs that were way too sappy or cheesy, like Heal The World. And the song Childhood, although I find the idea admirable, it just comes off as creepy. Plus MJ had a bit of narcissistic tenancies. Like in press conferences, he always had to have "The King Of Pop" written across his podium. And I don't know if it's true, but in his contracts it always stated that he had to be referred to as "King".
Elvis on the other hand, whenever someone called him the King, he always denied it, citing Jesus as the king (I'm not religious, but I respect his humbleness), or Fats Domino as the King of Rock & Roll. And he was so much more diverse than MJ. He basically performed in every genre, and he just had the "cool vibe" that not many people have. I prefer his voice and musicianship to Michael's, as well. He was a great performer and an even greater man. -

Wacko Jacko had a HUGE ego no doubt. Another reason I was never a fan. Yeah, songs like We Are The World were corny as hell too. Billy Joel called We Are The World a Pepsi commercial, and even though I'm not a huge Billy Joel fan, I agree with him on that.

I also liked that Elvis claimed he wasn't the king but Jesus was the king. Like you said, that was very humble. I never cared for Michael Jackson partly because, like I said, he was essentially the self proclaimed king of pop whereas Elvis claimed that Jesus was the king as opposed to him. Shows how humble Elvis was and how conceited Michael Jackson was.
If Bon Scott of AC/DC was still alive, he would be a Brony. -

I remember reading years ago that Jackson got Elizabeth Taylor to call him "King of Pop" at some awards show because he was jealous of Elvis's title. Like people have said, I appreciate that Elvis was far more humble and didn't go around calling himself the king, when he had every right to.

Another thing that pisses me off about Michael Jackson fans is they blindly defend him regarding the child molestation charges while also blindly calling out Bill Cosby, Roman Polanski, Woody Allen, and Bryan Singer. Plus Seth Green (very talentless might I add even though I like Family Guy) said there are two peple in the world: Michael Jackson fans and losers. That is very arrogant and childish if you ask me. That is like me saying there are two people in the world: Metallica fans and losers since I'm a huge metal head and a huge Metallica fan. My counter to Seth Green's comment is there are two people in this world Michael Jackson HATERS and losers if that is his attitude.

It was a dick move for MJ to hijack the Beatles entire back catalogue from Paul McCartney after the latter took him under his wing and acted as a mentor to him no doubt.

Overall, I'm a Kiss fan but I maintained a love/hate outlook on them since they are basically a band that relies on being a gimmick as opposed to making quality music and of course Gene Simmons is known for making controversial statements, but being a Kiss fan all the same, one thing I agree with Gene Simmons on is the comments he made about MJ after his death in the sense that he saw him as the pecophile that he essentially was. I forget what else Simmons said about MJ, but I do agree with him for not putting MJ on a pedestal just because he was dead and of course Gene Simmons was righ5b4t to call out MJ. People can hate Kiss and Gene Simmons all they want, but Simmons was right about MJ and I agree with him 100%. Granted, I liked Kiss when I was in high school and I sort of liked them less later on, but it eventually took me a while to renew my interest in them. Personally, when it comes to Kiss, you can't go wrong with their first two Alive albums and even Alive III and the Alive 4 album that is only available through buying the set Alive 1975-2000 set which contains the first three Alive albums are fun to listen to. Bottom line, Kis is a great live band and Simmons was absolutely right about that child rapist man child better known as Michael Jackson. The way I see it, Prince and Madonna were better artists than MJ for that matter.

Elvis. No question. His looks his voice and original style was ground breaking.
Both had amazing talent.
Michael's isn't nearly as missed as Elvis is still today. And Michael died more recently.
40 years later, he's still talked about more than Michael.
Elvis out sold Michael. And that's with a lot more people to buy records. Abo2000ut 80 million more people in Michael's era than Elvis. But Elvis still out sold him.
No question, Elvis is more loved, missed, and talked about then anyone. Especially these newer wanna be stars. They have no talent. It's all crap these days.
