I remember it not getting good reviews. I know Siskel and Ebert didn't review it for their show. Guess it wasn't screened for them.

It is a bad movie. People only like it cause they grew up with it.
I kinda liked it when I was 7 years old. & I've rewatched it many times for nostalgia sake. But it's awful every time. It has its moments though.
