Mostly just bad management and strong winds (Which were expected).
I'm waiting for the synagogue space lasers stories to start making the rounds but it reads like they caught it on early and managed to evacuate a lot of people.
A real shame for their homes, possessions and memories but it's not too bad by way of fatalities (Yet at least).
I'm sure a lot of those homes are insured and thankfully the wind didn't do a 180 otherwise that would have gone up through the middle of California and caused real widespread damage to a much larger wooded area
