Arite, la, lemme tell ya, Gladiator 2 is an absolute belter, swear down. 10/10, no messin' about, proper Stevie Gerrard against Milan style. Greatest film I’ve ever clapped eyes on, lad. It’s a masterpiece, proper had me sat there like, “This is it, this is bangin', la.”
The fights? Ohhh, la, they’re unreal. It's like watching Razor Ruddock scrappin' with Vinnie Jones. Pure carnage, like, dead loud, swords flyin’ everywhere, sharks, monkeys, boss stuff. Felt like I was in the Colosseum meself, screamin’, “Get in, lad!” The action’s that good, yer heart’s goin’ at the proper clappers like ye've just done a gram of beak down the Tavern!
And the story? Proper gripping, like. They’ve nailed it, la, had me all emotional, dead invested in every character, linking it seamlessly to the first. It’s got the drama, the betrayal, the glory - everything, mate. Made the first one look like it was filmed on someone’s Nokia 3210, I’m not jokin’ like. And the music? Ohhhh, goosebumps, lad. Proper spine-tingler.
The cast, though. Mate, I dunno where they’ve found these fellas, but they’re all boss. Every one of ‘em graftin’ their heads off. No weak links, not a one, and Mescal is every bit as boss as Crowe. Even the soft lad villains were sound. And Denzel? He's even better here than in Training Day, swear down. That lad could just read out the Argos catalogue and I'd be proper buzzin'.
Visually, it’s just gorgeous. Every shot’s like a painting, la - pure art. The fights, the sets, the costumes, it’s dead impressive, like. Had me sat there jaw wide open, proper mesmerised, guzzlin' away on me popcorn.
Lad, if you’re even thinkin’ of skippin’ this, have a word with yourself. Best film I’ve ever seen, bar none. Go grab yer mates, yer missus, yer nan, whoever the fook, mate. Just get to the pictures and watch it. It’s an absolute masterpiece, 10/10, no doubts. Pure cinema, la.
