The script is on slasherguys topic to download now and it does have the alternate ending.
Essentially it's the same with susan cutting herself and jumping in with the shark and the ladder breaking but Carter jumps in with her and Boosts her up the ladder. From there Susan kills the shark and they escape on an inflatable preach doesn't die either but he doesnt really do anything after being chomped. -

There are A LOT of key details that OP is omitting though, particularly in the third act. The overall story is different in a sense as well because they went back and cut or altered a lot of scenes involving Susan to make her appear more unlikable. Renny Harlin even confirmed that fact. But rather than making her unlikable it just made her appear bland and uninteresting. Keep in mind Susan was supposed to be the de facto main character so a lot was altered beyond the third act.
-Susan was the youngest scientist to ever win a McArthur grant which secured the funding for her research.
-Her and her father were extremely close because her mother was killed in a car accident when she was a kid. The pain motivated her so others wouldn't have to feel what she felt.
-She's socially awkward at times.
-at the party, there's a scene where Susan gives a speech telling everyone how proud she is of them and they basically deserve all the credit for the lives they're about to save.
-The scene where she asks Carter if he "likes his job" is longer as she tries to soften the blow and feels bad about the "going for the jugular response." Then she's embarrassed because of how she abruptly reacted to him.
-Janice acts like a bitch toward her for what happened to Jim (even though Jim was equally responsible). But they actually made up before Janice was killed. Initially, Susan tries comforting her but Janice rejects her because she blames Susan for everything.
-Janice is pissed at Susan and constantly blaming her for Jim's death. One time, she's humiliating Susan in front of the others. Susan tells her she's devastated as well because Jim was her best friend. Janice responds, "then what's his birthday? What did he like on his pizza?" Susan kinda turns away and you think she doesn't know. But in the next scene, Susan sneaks up and quietly says a date (Jim's Birthday) and the toppings he liked. Janice then realizes Susan really did care about him and makes up with her.
-When they're laying on the ladder, Carter loses hope. She crawls over and tries to comfort him and basically tell him it'll be okay (I don't remember the lines). One cue, that's when Preacher shows up.
-At one point, she pulls out a picture of Janice and Jim and has a conversation with Preacher about how much Jim loved her.
-REMEMBER THIS: Before Carter and Scoggins head off for the control panels, Susan is actually the one who tries talking them out of it. She urges them not to go because the plan will likely backfire. Of course, Carter does so anyway but before he goes, she gives him a small knife that belonged to her dad and he laughs about it saying "awfully small knife for an awfully big shark. Again, remember this scene…
-You find out Carter really likes Susan and only stayed at Aquatica because of her.
-Susan tells Carter that if they survive, she wants to "take him up on that beer" he offered her at the party. She also helps nurse his injured arm during this scene. There's a funny line when she enters the bathroom he's doctoring his arm in. He asks "what are you doing"? And she facetiously responds, "thought I'd might try to pee while I had the chance."
-during the scene where she tries to save her research, there's another humorous line after she sees the dummy shark. She grabs a tape recorder and says something along the lines of, "if anyone finds this, I probably died of a heart attack rather than a shark bite." That's not verbatim but it was something humorous in that realm.
Now onto the ending…
-after Preacher passes out (yes, he survives), she walks out to Carter who's watching the sunrise. They both take a moment to openly admire how pretty it is after all they've been through. She also expresses guilt for all the chaos and deaths she caused and you genuinely feel sorry for her.
-Carter then notices the fence is sinking. Susan gives a long monologue about what would happen if the shark escaped and how it would basically take over the ocean. That's when she says "we have to kill her".
-they can't figure out the combination to Scoggins' shed (where the explosives are) and Susan tells him it's his date of birth because he would always mention that to her.
-as they're rigging the explosives, she asks where he learned all of this and he briefly talks about his time in prison.
-everything up until she cuts her hand and jumps in is the same. Carter rescues her and here's more details OP left out…
-he surfaces and screams at her to shoot the shark. She rushes over and grabs the harpoon gun. But she's never fired a weapon before and he's screaming at her to shoot it. She takes a moment and it's pretty intense because she knows she only gets one shot. He keeps screaming and takes a breath and fires. It hits the shark but also pentrates his leg. So he's stuck, like in the theatrical ending.
-so the cable is uncoiling rapidly. Carter is screaming at her to blow it but she can't do it. Time is running out and she's panicking because it will kill Carter. He keeps
