Die Hard

I can’t wait for the upcoming reboot/sequel called “Die Hard” that ignores all the sequels. Bruce Willis returns as a retired John McLain who suffers with PTSD and psychological trauma due to the events he encountered in 1988. We discover he quit the force the day after these events as an near-death encounter with terrorists was too much for him to handle. He rigs his house with booby traps out of fear Hans Gruber’s sons will return for him seeking revenge for killing their father. McClain had become a social outcast to his adult children and prefers to live in social isolation from the outside world; and his paranoia had destroyed his marriage.
“Hans Gruber’s dead, John. You watched him die. You need to move on.” But he doesn’t move on.
So Gruber’s sons do return and kill almost all of McClane’s close contacts including his ex-wife. They survive the end of the film. The sequel will take place 4 years later, and John McClane is doing fine now. He’s even got a job as a local street cop. He’s trying his best to move on, even though Gruber’s sons are missing in the area and he lost his wife 4 years prior.
Get it? Halloween. I should be a SNL parody writer. I would have the most amazing ideas for sketches.

A Good Day to Die Hard
The last two are terrible. A Good Day to Die Hard didn't really feel like a Die Hard movie which is funny because it is the only sequel that wasn't made from a repurposed screenplay or novel. -

Should maybe include Die Hard 0 in the list:
