This animated short completely nails the spooky-eerie-shuddery ooga-booga gloom-doom spirit of Edgar Allan Poe's morbid and paranoid prose. Jame Mason does a great job of narrating it, too. I also love the funky abstract expressionistic hand-drawn animation style showcased herein.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

James Mason is absolutely perfect as the narrator. His silky smooth voice totally works for Edgar Allan Poe.
