If you saw a dude lying dead on the road…

If I was alone, I keep driving..
If I was with a friend, I'd probably go check on the 'dead guy' but only with my friend getting out of the car with me.

A+ that is what you're supposed to do. never, ever get out of a car at the scene of an accident like that, but do call for help. driving away after seeing it is like witnessing a crime and not telling anyone. you may not get arrested but it's pretty effed up. but getting out of the car puts you or anyone else in danger.
thats why its great to live in the day and age of cell phones! if you do not have service however drive to the nearest pay phone or phone and tell the police the location of the accident. -

Instead of me getting out of the car; I'd ride up next to him than get out. I'm not going to park like 50 feet away than walk over to him. However, we have cellphones now. I'd just call and drive away and let the cops and ambulance handle it.

I would note the body laying in the road and say to myself, "Hmm, someone is laying in the road." Then I would check my GPS for the name of the road I was on, hit up the next place with a pay phone (or use a free phone somewhere) and call 911 anonymously to let them know of said body. Perfect.

@DioraFan01
So long paperwork deters you from doing the right thing?
The police would instruct you not to touch the scene and let them handle things. Calling 911 and doing the proper follow up is the way to go.
Maybe for DioraFan01 being human is not sth that would interest him/her, but I prefer to live in a world where I would do for others what I would like others to do for me. Let's have some compassion, huh? Or are we PRETENDING to be so busy and important as DioraFan01 not to be compassionate? Jeez! -

My certification expired years ago, but I'd probably still try to get out of my car and perform CPRafter calling 911, of course. Everybody has to die someday. I'd rather die trying to do the right thing than drive away knowing I could have done more.
