Because they're most likely in the public domain and not subject to copyright laws.

the free porn tube websites being legal is something i dont understand though bc they apparently dont have the right to stream porn on free streaming sites but do it anyway. it's like a legal loophole.
i found out the porn companies who own the copyrights dont like these sites but also use them to advertise for their companies so i guess it like a tradeoff for them where they get more business but dont like giving their content away free.

so how does song parodies copyrights work? i just found out that song parodies dont have to get the copyright.
but i also heard the 2 live crew had a legal problem with the copyright from the roy orbison estate over their using his pretty woman in their song parody? why did they have a problem with this if they didn't need to get the copyright cleared?

Did they use an actual sample from his song in their parody? If so, then there's obviously going to be a copyright issue.

no im not talking about samples i'm talking about doing a different funny version of a known song. they did a different version of pretty woman called hairy woman. it goes the same way but different lyrics. not sure if it has a sample though.
so does a musician or band have to get permission to do a cover of a song?

Yes, they're supposed to get permission to do a cover song. Some punk bands and other underground artists don't bother to get permission though.
