I think women always do this. They have a stable of viable replacement because it makes evolutionary sense. But this doesn’t mean they’ll cheat it just means they can jump ship if necessary
I actually have no problem with this earlier. I agree; women will not cheat with the secondaries if the primary is at least somewhat sufficiently checking her boxes.
Men do this too but it’s usually 1) validation and 2) cheating that are the goals rather than relational security.
