Is it racist to consider an entire race ‘not your type?’

I've heard people say it's not racist to say you're attracted to a particular race but it is racist to say you aren't attracted to a particular race and that kind of makes sense to me
But when i see old dudes go on about asian chicks, or my bff go on about black dudes, it sounds kind of racist. Imo -

What do you mean 'when i see old dudes go on about asian chicks'.? Isn't interracial dating between Asians and wheits pretty common in America.? Lots of young dudes probably go on about asian chicks as well.

There's nothing wrong with interracial dating. My parents are different races. There's a lot of that in the US.
I'm sure there's lots of young dudes into Asian chicks too but in my experience, it's been creepy old men that fetishize them -

Obviously creepy old men don't only date Asian women, there are creepy old men dating all sorts of women. And yea, you're mixed race, so you'd think people who are would be more tolerant when it comes to interracial dating. But by saying comments like 'old dudes go on about asian chicks' and or 'creepy old men fetishize them' you're saying that you're really not, and implying that there's something wrong with interracial dating, despite being the result of that yourself. You're kind of saying that the people who make racist comments about why your parents are of different races are right as well.

I know, from having a Caucasian-American dad and Asian mom, that my dad didn't change to look Asian.
