Not in the grand scheme of things. With tens of millions infected, tens of thousands is quite small. If the CV maintains it's statistics and would infect hundreds of millions the death toll would be in the millions. If every US citizen would contract the disease, approximately 300 million, approximately 9 million US citizens would die.
Either number can be viewed as compelling, but the biggest number is the most compelling. -

Then why are you so distressed by
3,285 deaths?
And every American getting CV? Not likely. There are currently
157 cases
in a population of
over 329,358,000
!

Where did I ever indicate I was distressed? I just like to keep my hubris in check
I used the word "if". That indicates a hypothetical scenario offered only to illustrate the severity of CV compared to influenza. As your math skills are not the best, I figured large round numbers would be appreciated. -

And all 11 deaths were
in two states
: WA with 10, and CA with 1. Again, hardly anything to panic about. But there are always idiots who
will
panic.

I have corrected my math error. Meanwhile, if you're serious, you're either a troll
or an idiot. Which is it?
