I did see that a few drug companies have vaccines that they are trying to fast track to testing so they can release them as soon as they can.
But I think the news does make things sound worse than they actually are because they think if they scare the crap out of you, then you'll keep watching. I'm not panicking about this, but I have seen some people stocking up on food thinking that they'll start locking down cities. A couple of canned food and instant noodle aisles were cleaned out at my local supermarket lol -
