This is pure, distilled rage

It's like her eyes captured images of every dark deed that took place around her. I've never seen such black eyes. It's like she took in and absorbed all of society's evils and operated from that place. I think she is the final definition of the social scapegoat. And she had no real way of defending herself. She was doomed from the get go.

I don't think of Aileen and think killer. And I certainly don't think of her as cold. I think of Aileen and I think wounded, frightened animal. And she was about as hot-blooded as it gets. In the end, she lashed out at a society that categorically refused her admittance at every turn. God, I remember reading a story when she was younger and she paid for all the beer and had a party for her peers and it was at her house and the other kids locked her out of her own house and drank the beer that she bought. Goddamn. Why
wouldn't
she hate people? I could not in good conscience fault her for her hate and her rage. There was nothing good waiting for her in this lifetime. Only betrayal and isolation. If anybody had earned a right to their hate, it is Aileen Wournos. It is not at all hard to understand why she killed. Nobody cared for her. She fought an uphill battle her entire life. She was way, way past giving a damn about humanity. There's nobody else that I think of in this way. I do think she had sweetness in her soul. More than most, perhaps.
I get on my AW soapbox about once every three years.

I was just going to comment on this. Its like she had something else living behind those dark wounded eyes.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?
