I think Craig Fairbrass would have been a much better Billy Butcher.
Not only is Fairbrass big and imposing like comic Butcher is, but his cockeny accent is natural unlike the hilarious shyte that Karl Urban says
. Craig Fairbrass is a bit old and the comic Butcher is mid 30's, but they went with an older actor in Karl Urban anyway. This could have worked.
It's like what happened to NEGAN from the walking the dead, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a great actor but he was nothing like comic book Negan in terms of looks, comic Negan was like 6'7 and built like a tank so it made sense that he was the leader of a bunch of tough apocolypse survivours and they were all afraid of him.
Alan Ritchson would have been a perfect homelander
