I'm also 12 and Nirvana is also my favorite band. There is a certain pureness to Nirvana's sound that is sorely lacking in the music of today. Perhaps one could argue their breakthrough album Nevermind does suffer from overproduction, but the brilliance of Kurt's songwriting shines through. His ability to weave discordant tones with startlingly beautiful melodies was a revelation and is yet to be matched. It's why Nirvana has stood the test of time and is one of those rare acts that appeals to all generations. So **** u.
