Problem is the fortress origin has been done to death and people can't get out of it, Lois & Clark TV show didn't have the fortress so what was wrong with that, his mother making the suit means you don't have to go with a long complicated story on where he gets it like finding it on a kryptonian scout ship, it's the same as Batman getting his suit and gadgets from WayneTech.
Like to see the John Byrne type origin in a flashback with him developing the dual identity after saving a plane.

I lived the John Byrne story and can picture it in my mind.
If I was Superman my mom would have made me the suit. My mom was my number one supporter and it's a nice story.
The problem with the Fortress in the films is that it's used as a magical solution. In the comics, it was used as Doc Savage used it, as like a solitary home base.
The 70s movies screwed up the Fortress idea. It's Superman's "Batcave" and meant to be where he works on projects and thinks about things.
I also like that he has computer gear from krypton. However, the films tend to focus on Krypton too much.
Many bad writers of films never bother to find out about the stories they adapt. The whole point of Superman is that he is NOT KRYPTONIAN but rather an American country boy. The message is that you are what you were brought up to be and it has nothing to do with genetics.
Superman was created to counter Nazi ideas about what a man is, for instance. So, focusing too much on his Kryptonian origin and culture defeats the pro American anti-Nazi message.
DC is really bad at making films due to this kind of error.

As with the suit you would get into a long complicated story on where it comes from like a crystal from his ship, his ship's AI built it or came from another end of space through a portal.

I like "world building" and enjoy complicated stories, so that doesn't both me.
I would have watched a Jor El movie based on the beginning of Man of Steel. I liked that opening and would have watched one starring Russel Crow.
          I love creativity.
However, I don't like when changes are made to stories with important points. Superman has a variety of important point that it must make to ensure it's a meaningful story.
The whole point of Superman is that environment makes the man. We are lucky the Kents found Superman is the whole message of the story. Superman is about how a man, you and me, handles his power.
So, you can have a cool story about his crystal etc but it can't be more important than his life on Earth.

I know the entire history of Superman and you don't know **** and are an arrogant retard, lol.
Ubermensch is the Neitzchean term in question. It means "Superman" and in his philosophy a Superman was a person who had no regard for anyone but himself. He does what he wants and makes other do what he wants.
The creators of Superman were Jewish and created a Jewish version of a Superman which is communist. Communism is a huge part of Judaism. So, the "good man" uses his talents to help the community, for free, and doesn't force others but acts as an example. Since he doesn't want anything people want to give him everything and love him.
Also, the creators were secular jews. Jews think they're superior to others and with Superman he's an "Alien" who came to America and he rejects the idea that he's better or different than humans and wants to fit in, marry a human, and so on. So, Superman is also a message about immigrants dumping their old culture and getting involved in American life fully.
All of that was counter Nazi propaganda and against people who thought they were better than other Americans.

It's depending on which version a kryptonian suit at the fortress or Ma Kent making the suit, you see this all the time with superhero movies when they change something for the movie people who haven't read the books think that the movie is how the source material is.
