My main beef has nothing to do with race. Ned Leeds in the movie is Ned Leeds in name only. They might as well have just made him Kong from the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. Seriously Ned Leeds is not an overweight guy with glasses! Flash Thompson isn't some skinny looking guy either. Of course everytime I say this some stupid ignoramus who hasn't even read as many Spider-Man comics as me comes in and says, "What's so great about Ned Leeds and Flash Thompson?" to which I explain and they say, "Well they weren't in the comics I grew up reading!"
