Why, oh why, didn't Coulson find a book the shape and size of the 'Darkhold' and switch it out in the bag with the 'Darkhold'?
Why, especially, didn't he do this when he was planning on handing it over to the bad guys? Yes I know, Daisy was there and she took it away before they could touch it, but still: Why would he risk them actually getting it? He had the time and opportunity, so why didn't he?
I am happy he wised up to Robo-May, though. It means he's only a partial idiot.
Lincoln Campbell: I, uh, I never saw the original Terminator.
Phil Coulson: You're off the team. -

Why didn't Koeing switch the book? He was alone with it for some time in the vault and could have done something.
But I guess they thought the bad guys would check the bag right when they got it (who wouldn't?), so a distraction proudly wouldn't have work for very long anyways. -

Throwing the bag was all the distraction he needed to take the bad guys out. It didn't matter what was inside. Plus, it's not just "a book", it's the fricking Darkhold!
