I say it'll be a "star" going off the rails. Some actor or even new director will pull a Josh Trank and either be sued or arrested.
That's my bet because it's just what this doomed franchise has been missing to make it all a complete sheetstorm.

I'll say it's a star getting fed up with the reviews, re-writes and ridicule (the 3 R's of being in the DCEU) and will walk away publicly and loudly. Can you see Ezra Miller (if you consider him a star) sitting on his thumbs waiting additional months for WB to figure out a script?
If said star then gets cast in a Marvel movie? OUCHIES!
