So the chances of getting HIV from a heterosexual male cheating is 0.003% and a for a bisexual guy who cheats on you with a guy is 0.004%. (For the girl to get infected both unlikely events would need to happen one after the other) With odds like that you can see why your SO's girlfriends don't want to take the risk, the extra 1 in 100,000 chance is just playing with fire. -

So given that for the United States the percentage of men who have sex with men that are HIV positive is 15%. The chances of getting HIV from a random contact are only 0.12% therefore the new figure for the girl getting HIV is 0.008% so an extra 5 in 100,000.

You said it happens a lot more often than I thought, so i looked it up and it actually happens a lot less than I thought. I thought the chances would be like 1 in 1000 - 5 in 100,000 sounds a lot less risky than riding a bike.
