    So charming.
And NO, since you claim to be such a fact person, it was most definitely NOT 50% of the country who wanted Trump. More like 20% of the voting age population. He did not have a mandate, and his opponent got 3 million more votes than he did.
Quit calling people names and then crying because we're not putting up with it anymore. I'm sick of being nice to people like you because you really don't deserve it. I'm no longer going to be polite when you're being a dick. And you're going to find a whole lot of others have joined me in being fed up. We're not going to take the constant bullying and name-calling anymore.
Oh, and you think your state isn't using any of our tax dollars? Well then you really are an idiot. How about that military? Who's providing more of their budget, your state or mine?
Seriously, you people are inviting so much backlash it's gonna make Trump's "movement" (apt description) look trivial.

If you exclude all the illegals that voted in NY and CA, then nope. Trump got more votes. But keep clinging onto the "popular" vote. Keeps you night and tight in your safe space!
      and then crying
No one on the right is crying. But you babies on the left just can't let it go!
I'm sick of being nice to people like you because you really don't deserve it. I'm no longer going to be polite when you're being a dick.
I'm never nice to stupid liberals so that makes us even!
Oh, and you think your state isn't using any of our tax dollars?
I never said it did. You asked if I was on entitlements like food stamps or welfare. I'm not!
You keep trying to change the conversation to suit your narrative. How about you just shut up. You are all over this board like you own it. Go get a job or something! You're an idiot!
Seriously, you people are inviting so much backlash it's gonna make Trump's "movement" (apt description) look trivial.
The backlash has already begun. People are sick of the last 8 years of no growth, liberal PC garbage and snobbery from the elite left! Just f
      ck off and die already!

Yeah, another conspiracy theorist, ignore the facts, make up your own. No point in talking to you at all. The good news is, you're a dinosaur which means your kind will be extinct before we know it.

omgand you think ANYONE in the world with half a brain will take you seriously with this kind of talk? Trump may have managed to fool people, but relatively, it's a very small number who are buying into his idiocy. He's going to make things so much worse for you and your agenda. The pendulum always swings but this is as far right as it's ever going to go. When it recovers that will be the end of nonsense on this large of a scale. The right is committing suicide.

Not accurate. In fact a lot of Mexicans are finding jobs outside the US and are leaving. Most because of better wages and living conditions elsewhere.

Pro business is fine. But you think an Idiot-in-Charge that doesn't understand the significance of NATO or One China Rule or why we don't use nukes since we got them, or why we don't give nukes to Japan or Saudi Arabia, and who disrespects civil rights leaders, women, Muslims, Mexicans, the disabled, and thinks that by bullying he gets his way, is going to be better than a Harvard Constitutional Law Graduate, or a Rhodes Scholar was in the 90's was as President? Only by luck will we avoid a war, but hey a war is good for business, right? After all WWII got us out of the Great Depression, oh wait, that horrible Harvard Constitution Law Graduate already pulled us out of the Great Recession BEFORE it became a depression without going to war. So the war will only devastate, run up the debt (think Iraq) and help the profit takers, like Idiot-in-Charge's business.
May your company, whom ever that is, be lucky enough to have several subcontracts with Idiot-in-Charge's business, and get to experience the joy of trying to collect. After their bankruptcy, you can file for unemployment and subsidized medical careoh, wait, those are entitlements that he want's to make into block grants to the states, which was tried in the '80's and worked so well that we stopped doing it. But hey Idiot-in-Charge's personal bank account will increase and really, that's all that matters, right? GO PRO BUSINESS!
You're an even bigger idiot than he is.
GO CA, and yes, we would love to be our own nation. Then WE could impose 35% tariffs on all of our goods sold to the rest and keep those taxes instate to fund better clean air power, education, health, entitlements, and general better quality of life for all. And we already have the economy to make it happen!

I just had a meeting with my boss to review my business development plan, and one thing he noted is the expectation of reduced projects and profits and what we need to key on public sector contracts since those are typically long term (3-5 yrs to fruition) but at lower margins.
In essence, businesses are expecting business to be down and a general retraction of the economy, possible (probable?) recession. Why? Too much instability and unknowns because of incoming Idiot-in-Chief Trump. Corporations are going to hunker down until they see how bad it's going to be.
So it's not just me. BTW, I work for a top 1000 GLOBAL conglomerate with deep pockets and that's what they are forecasting in the U.S. for the first time since 2008, a reduction, not growth. Great job Trump!

Pro-business. Hmmmm. Let's see..filed chapter 11 bankruptcy 4X's in the last 10 years, which let him off the hook for paying his employees, his contractors and his suppliers, all the people who are American business.
                      Yeah, that works?

                        You go, girl!
I can't believe it, real estate is already beginning to fall here, after just starting to recover to pre-recession levels. This is the quickest turnaround I've ever seen in California. People are clearly afraid. I'm trying to decide if I should sell my house right now and settle for less than I would have gotten a year ago, or wait for 4 years and possibly lose everything. I like my house, so should I just keep my fingers crossed? Just hope that we'll bounce back more quickly than the last time the right's banking buddies forced us into a recession?
Trump's plan, if passed, is going to increase our debt by 7 trillion dollars. The trickle down is going to be horrific on so many levels. I pray that we survive him, but more importantly that we survive his devious cronies who will have free rein. If he gets his way they will all be so much richer, and the rest of us so much poorer and in debt, it's hard to fathom.
I wonder what would happen if everyone in California just refused to pay their federal income tax and sent it to our California coffers instead? Take all the money away and Trump will have to raise taxes on everybody else, even his cronies. Or he'd have to take it from California by force. A civil war in the US at this point in time would be disastrous on so many levels. He wouldn't get support from other democratic nations. Russia would help, sure, because controlling The US is their objective (how ironic that Trump's supporters say liberals are "Commies" when
                        they
are the ones who just invited Russia through the front door. Or that Dems are elitist when
                        they
just voted a bunch of elitists into the white house). It would clearly be a war of Trump's elites vs the people. Some of our own US citizens might not be smart enough to see that, but other countries would. They're all horrified by this situation already. They'd totally understand California wanting to distance itself. What I don't get, though, is how Trump supporters don't realize they're giving all the power to the elites, the wealthiest few in this country.

CA cannot break away from the US and be successful. It won't work. Now, I can see Texas doing this.

Tell that to the billionaires in silicon valley who've just put up millions to get our secession on the ballot. WE most definitely can survive very well without the rest of the US. Eespecially the RED states who contribute very little to the economy. Smaller countries/economies are doing just fine in Europe. New York would follow right behind us because they're as disgusted as we are. The US would probably declare war on us (but with Trump, who the hell knows, he never does anything rational) because the US would no longer be the super power it is without us. Regardless, whether they declare a civil war or not, the measure is still going on the ballot in less than 2 years. And we'll see what happens. I'm not even from California but so proud to call it my home for the last 20 years.

I highly doubt the rest of the US would care if cali, wants to seceded. Most people I know don't care about Cali one way or the other.Because regardless of which you will not be missed. The rest of the US will survive without California trust me on this. Especially with Texas,Florida, and other us territories bringing in money, and resources.
And Silicon Valley is just one place in Cali. It does not represent the whole state.
Like I said the only state that I feel can be successful if it departs from the US is Texas. They got the money, oil,and resources to do it.Plus it's old money thee.
But believe what you want. I don't care.

You really don't know CA at all.
CA happens to be one of the largest oil/gas producers, as well as one of the largest agricultures states, and as you mentioned, Silicon Valley. We are already quite self sufficient with a diverse economy and a balanced budget. We are more forward thinking and are willing to take chances, which is WHY Silicon Valley is in CA in the first place. We can match and in fact outpace and produce Texas AND Florida combined without even batting an eye. We have the 5th largest economy IN THE WORLD!
I am a native CA, and I have lived in OK and KS, have family there, and I have been to TX and FL many times. I would take CA over them in a heartbeat.
While I applaud the CA secessionist movement (it really is a real thing here), I really don't think it will go anywhere. The U.S. simply cannot afford to lose CA no matter how irritating liberal we are. The U.S. economy simply cannot take the hit.
If TX or FL want to secede, hey go for it. Wouldn't lift a finger to stop them, but Trump would. He needs their votes to stay in power.
