I guess this is the Superman movie audiences wanted, and they got what they asked for.
Aside from the above comment, your post is accurate. Nobody "wanted" a film like MOS. It only made money because it fooled audiences into thinking it was a real Superman movie. They wised up after the first two weeks of release.

It's going to make a lot of money but it's going to be a terrible movie. Similar to Transformers. Snyders best movie 300 is far behind him, I don't think he has it in him to make a good flick.

This whole thread made me actually laugh out loud. MOS was a perfect movie, all except for the casting of Amy Adams as Lois Lane. This was the Superman movie I'd been waiting for since the 70s. It makes the Christopher Reeve films look like the red headed step child.
