He'd be ideal for The Flash at this point.

Give it to him, as or right now The Lego Batman Movie may be the most satisfactory DC film of this year. And last year.

Well first let's see how Lego Batman turns out first, and also what kind tone or how that new script looks.

3/4 chance critics will like it better than Justice League at this rate.

That's probable, but Brad Bird did a fantastic job on the Iron Giant and Incredibles, but Tomorrowland was a dud (not bad, but misguided), Andrew Stanton beyond amazing work on Pixar films..John Carter..lifeless. I'd give the Lego Batman director a small budget live action film before a tentpole superhero film.
Lord and Miller did just that, began with an animated film then tested the waters with a satire of a forgotten Tv series, and now they have a Han Solo flick.
Hell I even feel bad for Marc Webb, he did a great job on 500 Days of Summer only to be thrown into a lion's den with the TASM series.after one movie.

Egh, Brad Bird still did great work with Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. If he brought that level of energy and creativity, I'd like him to direct a DC film.

                    The Lego Batman Movie
looks like a Rob Schneider "comedy" to me.

He only directed animated/stop-motion stuff like Robot Chicken and nothing live-action. So I don't really see how he can do live-action yet.

like WB care about the director capabilities
snyder used to be some visual guy, a good one
but wb gave him the key to DCEU
                        which they regret now

So they want to destroy their career I guess.

I've heard F. Gary Gray suggested for the Flash on YouTube.
