how much of a difference would it have made?
He expressed interest in the part, but WB turned him down because they wanted a younger actor.
Can you imagine how intimidating that meeting with the senator could have been? The veiled threats would have been like something out of Breaking Bad. -

There was nothing imposing or threatening about Eisenberg. some parts were so bad they were actually immersion breakers like his scene with Lois on the rooftop why is she cowering away from this 130 pound dork? wait.. how did he manage to get her off of the building? she could have picked him up and body slammed him easily
Thanks to Batmeh v Supermeh Yawn of Justice, the "S" now stands for Sidekick -

Maybe not so much as Eisenberg because at the end of the day that was Cranston playing a school teacher who was trying to pose as a bad arse, personally I think he did a great job in that show. I would personally have preferred him as Lex as well I don't think he could ever have come across as badly as Jesse did but the whole daddy spanked me and god did not stop him motivation might have seemed even more ridiculous coming from Cranston than what it did coming from Jesse.

Lol now you have stuck up images of BvS turning into a off the roof top wrestling match and its a match where I would put my money on Louis.
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock -

I was with you until you brought up breaking bad. An actor should be chosen on their merit, not because fanboys think he's a bad ass. I personally preferred Billy Zane be chosen. I felt Lex was horrendously evil in this movie but I feel they made him too modern with the billionaire little boy angle. I suppose they wanted to make his villainy some kind of red herring, like the characters would never guess someone so young and goofy could be so dangerous.
