Batman was not outright executing anyone except in his vision of a possible future. Granted, there was his conclusion that he couldn't take such chances when he saw Superman as a potential threat.

Like the thugs standing next to their cars that he blew up? Or the guys that started shooting at him when he was already on an unstoppable course to ram one of their cars with his armored super-vehicle?

When Batman was originally introduced, he carried a gun and sometimes killed criminals just as did the Shadow and other pulp heroes that inspired his creation. Even after he was given his code against killing, Batman seldom felt much regret if a criminal died while opposing him.

Well a good and true Batman should know that Batman should be aware of his code and he does want criminals to persecuted the lawful way, so he can fix a system that is crooked.
The only ones who should kill, are those who are prepared to be killed.

In general, I'm talking about things like a criminal fleeing the Batman and falling down a flight of stairs, breaking his neck; or a murderer shot and killed by an accomplice who meant to hit Batmannot Batman deliberately causing another's death. Think of how Clayton died by his own actions at the end of Disney's
                    Tarzan
                    .

It was those criminals fault there and it wasn't Batman's fault they accidentally kill themselves.
