I liked the movie but had a hard time paying attention since this girl from my school and her friends were sitting behind me talking loudly through the whole movie. I don't even think they paid a single bit of attention to the movie. Waste of their parents' money. They might as well have just hung out at the mall for 2 hours talking. I went with my sister who was taking me to it as a birthday present. Every time I was about to tell those girls to shut up she grabbed my arm and told me not to say anything to them.

I was in high school. Planned it for weeks. Invited 8 friends to go. We got in two different vehicles and drove to the mall. A car was in the left turn lane pulling out of the mall, and we pulled into the mall in the out right turn lane, scaring the crap out of the car that was leaving. Our other car did the same.
We ate Sbarro and Chick-Fil-a at the food court. Then we got back in our cars, crossed the street, and went to AMC.
Before the movie started, there was an advertisement game which was a Coca-Cola race. We'd seen it before and knew root beer won. We started chanting Root Beer, Root Beer! The whole crowd got behind root beer. It won and everyone yelled Yeah!!!
Getting close to movie time, we all started counting down. We got to 3, 2, 1 and the movie began immediately. The projectionist must have heard us.
I loved the movie, saw it again two days later. I remember this experience very well because it was so insane.

So it was a fixed game that ran over and over? As an advertisement?

Before the trailers there were ads on sort of a slide show. Sometimes there's questions and the next slide is the answer.
This Coke race was just like 4 slides long. All the Coke products were lined up on the left on the first slide with the finish line on the right. Each slide they would be closer and closer to the line, in random positions. We had been there a few times within the last month and new it was Root Beer that was the winner on the final slide. I got all my friends to go for Root Beer cause I knew it won. This whole row of high schoolers chanting "Root Beer, Root Beer" got pretty loud. Got the whole crowd picking who they thought would win. Root Beer wins and we all went nuts, although we knew it would.

Was 14 at the time. Still one of my all-time favorite movie-going experiences.

I was 13 and remembered all the hype surrounding it as my previous experience with Spider-Man growing up was the cartoons.
