Poor Alfred is left to fight off any baddies who come into Wayne Manor, singlehandedly.
If I were a billionaire, especially living in a screwy town like Gotham, I'd have a small army on the grounds. Or at least a crack commando team on hand.

You're making a great observation. But this is a kind of thing that is a problem with comics based movies from DC And Marvel in general. Batman and every other super hero or villain are absurd characters whose actions do not make any sense. They're stupid, honestly. Normal people who may have performed actions like those of Batman would have their joints, muscles, and bones damaged enough to disable their health from doing it again. No costume would make sense. Everyone would latathention to them. The gadgets are stupid and unnecessary. The GCPD prison is a caricature of a real police department anywhere.
I mean, the show itself seems to be taking place in a fictional 90s because they have land line phones and they have small cell phones. Yet they have no desktop or laptop computers anywhere. No other modern objects. It's all stupid. -

I mean also not to mentione the ridiculous 22nd episode where the stupid scene where Fish Mooney all of a sudden has a makeover after "2 weeks later" and the group of people she helped rescue are standing behind her in what seems to be the same scrappy clothes standing behind her like a bunch of kids. So stupid.

Heh. Indeed.
There is some good writing on this show in some ways, but this is one of the ways it's failed.
